Buen Provecho – Chili Sauce (Salsa de Aji)

Recipe: Chili Sauce (Salsa de Aji)

Ingredients (for 10 people):

  • 3 tree tomatoes (normal tomatoes could also be used as an alternative)
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 handful of fresh cilantro
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 fresh chilis or spicy peppers 
  • squeeze of lime

Preparation:

The tree tomatoes are washed and cooked. The red onion, green onion and cilantro are washed and cut into small pieces. When the tree tomato is fully cooked, it is peeled and blended together in a blender with the chili. Strain the sauce and mix with the onions and cilantro in a bowl. Finally, add the lime juice and a pinch of salt. Enjoy!
