On Friday when we left SALEM to hike up to local a viewpoint, no one imagined that the highlight of the trip would be be sliding back down the hill on the way back to SALEM.


After the group had completed the exhausting climb up to the viewpoint we took some time to catch our breath and enjoy the view. While enjoying some fresh watermelon it began to rain. But it didn’t seem to matter and everyone remained in good spirits. In fact the journey home, slipping and sliding down the trail on filthy mud slides turned into the highlight of the trip!

By the time we got back to SALEM everyone was soaked, covered in mud and looking forward to a hot shower at home!
