There are people who work in silence, without seeking applause or recognition, moved only by genuine love for others. At SALEM Ecuador, we call them Anonymous Heroes.
The 2024 summer camps
Summer camps are one of the most anticipated events of the year by SALEM children. For several days, the little ones live unique experiences of coexistence, play, learning, and connection with the nature of Mindo. But behind every activity, every smile, and every magical moment, there is a team of young people who worked tirelessly to make it possible.
Young people leading the change
This year, a group of young volunteers—many of them SALEM alumni—took on the organization and execution of the camps with extraordinary dedication. From the early hours of the morning until well into the night, they prepared activities, took care of the children, resolved unforeseen events, and always maintained a positive and committed attitude.
A well-deserved recognition
That is why, at SALEM Ecuador, we wanted to stop for a moment to say out loud: Thank you! Thank you for your time, your energy, your creativity, and your heart. Your work does not go unnoticed. Every child who lived a transformative experience in these camps did so thanks to you.
The generational relay
Seeing these young people take the reins and lead with responsibility and love is the best proof that the mission of SALEM Ecuador has lasting fruits. They are the generational relay that Mindo needs, and we are enormously proud of each one of them.
