The month of December always brings a special aroma to SALEM Ecuador: the smell of freshly baked cookies, hot chocolate, and the magic of Christmas shared in community.

A tradition that unites hearts

The Christmas Café is one of our most beloved traditions. Every year, in the first weeks of December, SALEM's children and youth get their hands in the dough—literally—to prepare artisanal cookies, cakes, and other delights that they then share with the entire Mindo community.

Preparations full of joy

This year, the SALEM team started preparations in early December. The children learned traditional recipes, decorated cookies with colored icing, and carefully packed every detail for the big event. It was an experience of learning, creativity, and teamwork.

The big day

On December 19, we opened our doors to the entire community. More than 200 people visited us to enjoy the coffee, the delights, and the special performances by our children: Christmas carols, poems, and a small play that moved everyone present.

Thanks to those who make this dream possible

This event would not be possible without the generous support of our donors, volunteers, and friends of SALEM Ecuador. Your contribution allows each child and each family to find a reason for joy and hope during these dates.

Thank you for making Christmas a special time for everyone!
