At SALEM Ecuador we have always believed that change comes from people committed to their community. That is why we open our doors to those who wish to join our mission of transforming lives in Mindo.

Who can participate?

We are looking for passionate people, willing to learn and contribute, who are interested in working with children, youth and families in vulnerable situations. We accept:

  • National and international volunteers from any area of knowledge.
  • Students in PASEC (Service-Learning in the Community Program).
  • Interns in social work, psychology, education, nutrition, communication and more.
  • Students in pre-professional practices from Ecuadorian and foreign universities.

What would you do at SALEM?

Depending on your profile and availability, you could collaborate in areas such as:

  • Support in art, music, sewing and garden workshops.
  • Psychosocial support for children and families.
  • Educational reinforcement and reading activities.
  • Nutrition and community health campaigns.
  • Communication, design and social media management.
  • Organization of events and holiday camps.

What do we offer?

Although we cannot offer economic remuneration, we guarantee a transformative experience: you will learn about community work, grow as a person and form deep ties with the Mindo community. In addition, we issue volunteer certificates and letters of recommendation.
