Charitable Status: Legal Notice
SALEM International is recognised in Ecuador as a International Cooperation Organisation under agreement no. CBF-MREMH-2018-015 with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility. The Internal Revenue Service (SRI) of Ecuador recognises SALEM International as a non-profit organisation under Registro Único de Contribuyentes (RUC) nr. 1791874706001. The governing public entity of SALEM International in Ecuador is the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion, District Mejía – Rumiñahui, to which the corresponding annual reports are submitted.
Under tax number 208/147/40057, due to the advancement of development assistance; welfare service for youth and elderly; protection of animals, nature and the environment; and the advancement of international understanding as a commonly recognized goal, the work of SALEM International has been recognized by the Financial Office in Bayreuth, Germany, as tax-deductible and free of corporate income tax according to § 5 Abs. 1 Nr.9 KStG (Tax assessment notice of 01/07/09).
We voluntarily submit our annual financial documentation, independently verified by the auditing firm Rödl & Partner, to Deutsches Zentralinstitut für Soziale Fragen (DZI).
